Born on April 28, 1965 the son of a career soldier, Michael Vallair lived most of his forming years abroad in Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. After studying design at North Carolina State University, he embarked on a tour with the Marines. This journey took him to southern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. After the Marines, he searched for a city to perfect his skill as an artist, so he moved to Cincinnati in 1994, and has been painting ever since. His early exposure to European art and ancient artifacts are what drives his art today, always searching for that piece that will stand the test of time.
